At Mon Petit Meuble Français, we choose solid white ash from sustainably managed French forests.
🌳 In France, forests now cover 17.5 million hectares (32% of the land), compared to 8.9 million in 1840 and 14.1 million in 1985. This growth reflects a careful, respectful use of natural resources.
The raw logs are sawn in regional sawmills and delivered in planks to our workshops, where they are milled to retain only the noble heartwood sections.
All woodworking and assembly are done to order, following the rules of traditional French cabinetmaking, using reliable and durable techniques — for furniture built to last a lifetime.
The entire supply chain — from the sawmill to the transporter, via our workshops — operates within a radius of less than 150 km. This short circuit greatly reduces travel at each step of production and significantly limits the carbon footprint of every piece.
