solid wood

is a noble and natural material. It comes directly from trees then transformed into planks, cleats, backs, bottoms ... a solid wood furniture is warm, durable and UNIQUE.

On the contrary, panels of chipboard, plywood, medium melamine or laminate are made of wood particles (waste or fibers) bonded together with phenol-formaldehyde resins, or volatile and toxic chemicals such as isocyanates.

By preferring solid wood for our furniture, we prefer Nature and Health.

proximity is green

Short distances have a direct and positive impact on the carbon footprint and the amount of greenhouse gas emissions.

To transport a buffet throughout France, the energy consumption for manufacturing and delivery is about 3 MJ. The amount of greenhouse gases released into the atmosphere is about 1.5kg.

The biggest part of furniture comes today from Asia. This same buffet coming from Asia, combining boat + truck freight consumes approx. 7 x more energy and reject 10 x plus CO².

corporate social responsability

Manufactures of furniture in France are subject to very strict regulations for wood dust, even more 25 times sharper than the european regulations and far more than regulations in Asia. It reduces many risks for our workers.

We use as soon as possible new water-based varnishes when finishing our raw piece of furniture.

Our conditions of safety at work and  the limited weekly working hours contribute to a daily better life in our small workshops.
